Roadway and Bridge Grating
Roadway and Bridge Grating was first installed in 1932 by IKG® on Seattle’s University Bridge. IKG roadway and bridge grating meets AASHTO criteria. With excellent lateral stability, it is ideally suited for rolling and turning wheel loads, bridges and bascule lift spans. The cold driven rivets do not fatigue under vibration as do welded joints.
The RW product is our standard bridge and roadway decking, providing maximum strength and rigidity.
The RWL product is used where the demands are not as great or where a lighter weight installation is required. It incorporates a shorter intermediate bar plus a transverse bar for a solid installation with lighter weight.
Riveted grating is the oldest design of grating made. We offer it in carbon steel, aluminum and stainless-steel alloys. Riveted grating provides a versatile architectural appearance and a comfortable pedestrian walking surface. The truss style crimp bars provide excellent lateral stability that is ideally suited for rolling and turning wheel loads, such as for forklift and pallet jack traffic areas.
The K riveted product is an all purpose floor grating.
The J riveted product features an ornamental design with close bar centers. Excellent for Pedestrian Traffic.
The U riveted product features an ornamental design with close rivet centers. Easy under foot.
The UJ riveted product combines the close bar and rivet centers of the U and J series.
The W riveted product economical type for special industrial uses where wider opening can be used.
