Altec, a large utility manufacturer needed a slip-resistant deck for their utility boom trucks. IKG recommended a thin-gauged material that did not bow or create a tripping hazard. The material was finished with a coating of steel MEBAC #3, utilizing a steel grit particle, encapsulated in a carbon steel molten spray.
The selection proved to be a success as Altec was able to provide a utility truck to municipalities and individual consumers with a safe, anti-slip, and durable walking surface. The solution was utilized not only as the preferred walking surface on the back of the trucks but also for the buckets of the boom trucks.
KLB Contractor needed a solution for a ductile grating that was used on city streets and causing a slipping hazard for bicyclists.
Our Leeds, Alabama MEBAC plant received samples of the ductile grating for some testing. The solution was simple, aluminum MEBAC #4 coating.
With our MEBAC anti-slip coating, bicyclists could get back to enjoying their rides safely.
Madruga, utility vault fabricator was in need for a durable slip-resistant coating for the walking surface of their designed cover.
Steel MEBAC #3 was chosen for the steel lids due to the high coefficient of friction and ease of hot dip galvanizing. MEBAC #4 was the choice for the aluminum covers, which utilizes an aluminum oxide girt particle that is encapsulated in the molten metal spray. Both items are easily fabricated utilizing lasers and plasma cutting torches, and then welded into certain configurations for the vault covers. Both yield a durable slip resistant coating that is not too aggressive when utilized in public areas.
MEBAC was applied to lift gate trailers that were causing a slip issue and safety hazard for Omaha Palfinger.
The high coefficient of friction that MEBAC provides results in a safe, slip-resistant surface when walking on the lift gate. A MEBAC coating is key in preventing a slip issue when a surface is exposed to moisture, dust, or oils.
Safety programs are critical to the performance of a workplace and although PRAB had tried many other anti-slip solutions, only MEBAC provided a high coefficient of friction coating that could be applied to their custom fabricated products.
Steel MEBAC #3 was applied to the raised platforms used in PRAB’s conveyer systems.
MEBAC anti-slip coated products are known for their consistently superior quality, ease of installation and durability. That’s because we engineer our products to the highest standards, and manufacture them in state-of-the-art plants.
