Anti-slip surfaces for heavy traffic areas
In heavy traffic areas, a safe, secure surface is important for pedestrian safety as well as compliance. Serrated grating is ideal for heavy traffic areas where the surfaces may have oil, water or other liquids present as it provides more secure footing.
MEBAC Metal Bonded Anti-Slip Coating
For surfaces that require higher safety measures, MEBAC® slip-resistant surfaces provide a consistently high result for coefficient of friction under a wide range of conditions. Produced using a proprietary arc spray process, metal bar grating for safety using MEBAC provides a best-in-class, slip-resistant surface that is uniform and extremely durable. Molten metal is sprayed onto the surface and a grit media, available in different sizes for different applications, is then encapsulated with additional coats of the molten metal. No tape, resin or paint is used. MEBAC slip-resistant surfaces are fast becoming a critical part of many cities infrastructure to enhance safety and compliance.

What is the ADA?
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) became law in 1990. The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits dsicrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. IKG provides several products that can help your project become ADA compliant. For example our swage locked, pressure locked, steel and aluminum panels can all be fabricated so that they satisfy the maximum 1⁄2 – in. clear opening required by the ADA. These panels are excellent for pedestrian use in areas such as walkway grating and patform grating where high visibility is a concern.
